Laura Gale, widow of realtor Thomas Gale, built this house for herself and her children in 1909. The house is by all measures one of the most unusual designsby Wright during his Oak Park years. Her late husband, Thomas Gale, commissioned in 1892 two of Wright's so-called "Bootleg " houses (at 1027 and 1031 Chicago Avenue.) Take a front look.
